The Merseys – 37 operated in service

Only one Mersey lifeboat is now on station. Most of the RNLI’s 12m Mersey lifeboats have been sold out of service, and this list shows where they are now, and their current names. Last updated 12.12.2025.

ON-1119  Un-named in RNLI service –  Taken to Cork for refit; was renamed Keelman, and then Spirit

12-001 – Peggy and Alex Caird – pleasure boat at  South Hero, Vermont, USA; renamed Mersey Rose; Orange Apex

12-002 – Sealink Endeavour – Workboat for Hythe Shipyard on south side of Southampton Water; renamed Endeavour

12-003 – Doris M. Mann of Ampthill – Private use in Progresso harbour, Mexico; new name unknown

12-004 – Royal Shipwright – Unaltered as Pilot Launch laid up at Mostyn Docks; renamed Patricia

12-005 – Lady of Hilbre – Pleasure boat out of the water at Medway Marina, Cuxton; renamed Lady of Hilbre

12-006 – Andy Pearce – Unaltered as trip boat at South Ronaldsay, Orkney; renamed Njord
